RPG Site: RPG Examiner
This is actually quite a bit overdue. I have followed links to this site a number of times, from other sites, most memorably the abomination that is now RPGHost (see my previous post), but I never mentally stopped and said “Hey, this is a good site” until now, though I did include it on the front page Offsite Links section.

RPG Examiner is actually a sub-site of Examiner.Com, which has a multitude of subsites and specialist authors for each section, similar to About.Com. But this doesn’t mean the quality of the RPG Examiner is sub-par, as this current author, Tresca, is a professional in the RPG industry, so his posts, reviews, suggestions and other writing can be considered to be very likely useful and relevant to the needs of GMs and Players – at least I have found them to be so.
His close to 300 posts are presented more or less in standard fashion, depending on the subject and approach or stance he’s taking, and whether it’s more for GM or Player, or overall industry view, but he has some interesting insights in some of his work, and at the very least, if some of his stuff isn’t unique, it generally can include some of the up and coming or current trends in gaming that we might not otherwise know about for months.
I also recommend checking out the author (at this time), Michael Tresca’s own blog, in the Bio section of RPGE, which has a few near-commercial quality freebie supplements he has written himself.
